Recycling is everyone’s responsibility. It helps keep our environment healthier by reducing the amount of materials sent to landfills as well as reducing consumption of resources. At Allied Waste Services, we make recycling easy and efficient, recycling approximately 1.7 million tons of reusable commodities each year.
Commercial Customer Fiber Recycling Program
Acceptable:

- flyers
- pamphlets
- catalogs
- chipboard (paper-clip box)
- colored paper
- computer printout paper
- corrugated cardboard
- envelopes (any color, with and without windows)
- fax paper (all kinds)
- file folders (no metal or plastic)
- index cards
- business cards
- time cards
- invoices
- junk mail
- kraft brown bags
- ledger paper
- magazines
- NCR forms
- blueprints
- newspaper with inserts
- recycled paper
- shredded confidential papers (bagged)
- sticky paper (Post-It Notes)
- phone books, paperback books
- white paper (any color ink)
- wrapping paper (no foil)
- construction paper
Not acceptable:
- books (hard cover)
- brown mailers (if they contain bubble wrap)
- carbon paper
- cigarette packages
- continuous forms and labels and/or their backing material
- EKG paper (chemically treated)
- food or drink containers
- food wrappers
- hand towels
- tissues
- magnetic ink strips
- microfiches
- pendaflex folders (with metal)
- photographs
- plastic
- Styrofoam
- paper cups
- paper plates
- wax-coated cardboard
