- The City of Chicago requires contractors to recycle at lest 50 percent of C&D debris; the Allied facility can recover up to 90 percent of all recyclable material.
- The recycling center will be a key source of chipped wood that will be used to fire boilers at a community Power Plant.
- The C&D recycling facility accepts mixed- material loads that contain: metals, drywall, corrugated boxes, concrete, and wood, plumbing fixtures or asphalt.
- LEED certification: Allied C&D customers can gain points in the Materials & Resources category awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
